Presenting: Her Light

A wardrobe is a living archive. Shapes, materials and ideas move through generations, changing meaning as the people who wear them make them their own. Our Fall/Winter 2026-27 collection, HER LIGHT, looks at that inheritance and the freedom to edit it: what we keep, what we reject, and what becomes something entirely different in new hands.

HER LIGHT grew out of the idea of a more measured expression of power: calm, assured but still commanding. The starting point was Mama Quilla, the Incan moon goddess, whose light is cool and reflective rather than burning. Her power was different from the sun’s, but no less essential. That contrast runs through the collection in a palette of classic moon, mineral moon and earth, and in silhouettes that move between strength and softness.

Familiar shoe archetypes are nudged somewhere else. Loafers, lace-ups and high vamps borrow from the language of school shoes, while glove-fit flats sit alongside substantial clogs and boots with more visual weight. Riding, Western, Chelsea and moto references are pared back before they begin to feel like costume. The clogs lean into the 1970s with solid beechwood, warm stains and moc-toe details. Metallic and reptile are treated not as occasion materials, but as everyday neutrals. A pewter shoe or espresso snake should be able to do the same work in a wardrobe as black or brown.

We describe the collection’s two poles as Power Statement and Soft Power: substantial heels and soles against fluid clothing on one side, elongated flats and kitten heels on the other. The interest is in the contrast, soft with bold and bold with soft, and in the way familiar forms change depending on who is wearing them.

For the campaign, that idea moves into an after-hours gallery. The Coclico woman becomes both viewer and curator, surrounded by art and the ideas that came before her. Shoes appear as objects in their own right, considered, collected and lit like sculpture.
